IMRaD Journal Writer

For every discipline — from research title to full IMRaD journal article draft, with an embedded PDF/online literature review, questionnaire generation, and built-in survey data analysis

Step 1 — Enter Your Research Title

Works for any discipline and any country. Paste a quantitative title in the pattern: The Influence/Effect of [IV] on [DV] among [Population] in [Locale]. The app extracts the variables and detects the likely research field automatically — you can correct everything below.

Detected Variables

Enter a title and click Identify IV & DV.

Step 2 — Auto-Written Proposal Sections

Each button generates a scholarly, quantitative draft using your variables. The Introduction is written as one synthesized, flowing IMRaD introduction — global background, problem, literature context/synthesis, research gap, purpose, research questions & hypothesis, and significance are woven together in logical order without 1.1-style subheadings. In this IMRaD structure, the literature review is embedded in the Introduction immediately after the problem statement. Before writing, the app audits every usable PDF/manual source in Step 3; if fewer than three usable sources are available, it can search online for current, relevant scholarship. In-text citations and the reference list are prepared in APA 7 style, but every author, year, claim, and DOI must still be verified.

1. Research Objectives (General + Five Specific)

2. Research Questions (Five Aligned Questions)

3. Hypotheses

4. Introduction

IMRaD introduction standard: write one continuous, synthesized introduction in flowing prose — do not segment it into 1.1-style subheadings and do not create a separate literature-review section. Start broad/global, show what is happening, state what is wrong, then embed the synthesized literature review immediately after the problem statement, narrow to the research gap, and flow into purpose, questions/hypothesis, and significance/beneficiaries. Use APA 7 in-text citations. Avoid: dictionary-definition openings, Bible quotations/preaching, unsupported claims, citation dumping without analysis, and claiming that no previous research exists.
Source check has not run yet. Add PDFs/manual sources in Step 3, or leave the online-search option selected and click Write Introduction.

5. Methodology

Step 3 — Literature Library & PDF Materials

Drop journal articles, books, reports, or other PDF materials for the literature review that will be embedded inside the Introduction, immediately after the problem statement. PDFs are processed locally in your browser; the app extracts text and builds a private evidence map and extended synthesis notes for checking. Text-based PDFs work best. Scanned/image-only PDFs need OCR first, or you can paste their text manually below.

📚 Drag & drop your PDF materials here You may add several PDFs at once. Recommended maximum: 25 MB per file.
The PDF reader (PDF.js) downloads once from a CDN when first needed; your PDF files and extracted text are not uploaded to a server by this app.
No PDF materials added yet. Drop PDFs above, paste source text manually below, or search online for current relevant sources.

Find Current Online Sources

Searches OpenAlex and Crossref for recent, relevant journal works with abstracts. Results are added to the same library, checked against your IV/DV, and formatted for APA 7. Always open and verify the original publication before submitting.

Add a Source Manually

Use this for scanned PDFs, book chapters, abstracts, or notes you have already copied. Give the correct APA 7 in-text citation label and full APA 7 reference so the embedded literature review does not invent citation details.

Prepare Literature Evidence for the Introduction

This workspace analyses every supplied source in relation to your IV and DV and prepares extended synthesis notes plus a private evidence map for checking and paraphrasing. These notes are not inserted as a separate article section. The article-ready literature review is synthesized inside the Introduction, immediately after the problem statement, when you click Write Introduction in Step 2.

Extended Literature Synthesis Notes (editable — not a separate article section)

Private Evidence Map (not included in the article)

Accuracy and plagiarism note: Automated extraction can misread tables, symbols, and page order. Check every generated claim against the original PDF, complete each full reference, paraphrase in your own words, and follow your journal/institution policy on writing-assistance tools. The Evidence Map may contain exact source wording for private checking and should not be pasted unchanged into a submission.

Step 4 — Input Collected Data & Analyse

Paste your questionnaire data as CSV (first row = column headers), or upload a .csv file. One row per respondent. Likert items should be numeric (e.g., 1–5). Then map the columns to your IV and DV.

Step 5 — Results & Discussion (Auto-Written from Your Data)

These sections narrate the actual statistics computed in Step 4 in APA reporting style, then interpret them against your hypothesis and theory.

7. Results

8. Discussion

Step 6 — Assembled IMRaD Article

All sections combined in journal order: Abstract · Introduction (with literature review embedded after the problem statement) · Method · Results · Discussion. Edit anything here, then copy or download.

Abstract (standalone — editable)

Full Article (editable)

Academic integrity note: This tool produces a structured draft from templates and your own data. Before submission you must: (1) replace every (Author, Year) placeholder with real verified citations; (2) verify all statistical reporting; (3) adapt the prose to your voice and your journal's author guidelines; (4) disclose the use of a writing-assistance tool if your journal requires it.

Project

Your work is saved in this browser only (localStorage). Original PDF files are not retained by the app; extracted literature text may be saved within browser storage limits.

Step 7 — Questionnaire Builder

Generates a complete 5-point Likert questionnaire matched to your IV and DV: demographic items (Section A), IV scale items (Section B), DV scale items (Section C), reverse-scored items, a scoring guide, and pilot reliability instructions. Edit freely — it exports as Appendix A with your article.

Research Questionnaire (editable)

Step 8 — Analysis Guide (SPSS & SmartPLS)

Click-by-click instructions that match exactly the statistics this app runs: descriptives, Cronbach's alpha, Pearson r, regression, and the decision rule at p < .05. Use either SPSS or SmartPLS — or both.
